Philosophy
Whether you are a teen facing the complexities of adolescence, a parent navigating challenging behaviors or a child processing trauma or loss, I am here to help.
I bring over 8 years of extensive experience working in both clinical and school settings, supporting children, adolescents, and their families through collaborative discussions to better understand the unique developmental challenges they face each day.
I believe in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning, and I am committed to continually expanding my therapeutic skills and approaches. I know that play and art are powerful tools in supporting individuals, which is why I am currently enrolled in Sacred Heart’s Advanced Study in Play Therapy, becoming a Registered Play Therapist this summer.
As a New Canaan High School Alumni I have unique local community knowledge, a "built-in" network, and a demonstrated commitment to the area. This allows me the ability to better tailor interventions that fit your child's unique needs and help with unlocking core inner strengths. At the core of my therapeutic approach is person-centered therapy, in plain language, this means you! I create a safe and non-judgmental space where we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in your own time.Education & Training

Therapeutic Approaches
Play therapy provides children with a safe space to express their emotions, challenges, and experiences without relying on words. Through play, children test limits, build confidence, and develop new skills. As they “play out” their concerns, they begin to make sense of their experiences and find their own voice. Within the playroom and under my trained guidance, children strengthen coping skills while I help parents, caregivers, and educators understand the messages communicated through their play.
Expressive therapy gives children and adolescents a safe, creative space to work through trauma, grow confidence, and develop healthy coping skills. Through sand tray, art, music, and movement therapy, clients can release stress, ease anxiety and depression, and gain greater emotional awareness and regulation.
In a safe and trusting space, children and adolescents feel truly heard and understood. Using a client-centered approach, I encourage clients to build confidence in their own judgment, make decisions, and feel less alone or insecure. Free from judgment, children can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for them.
